I don't mind them. People can choose to not click them and you can tell them apart from regular links since most of them are double underline green links. They use less space on your website unlike banner ads which can take up 1/3-1/2 of your website space if you have a smaller website template.
Usually when I'm reading, I might move my mouse around the screen. When it pop-up the ad, it interrupts my reading for a little. I'm also less likely to click the ad than banner ads.
Well you have to admit, unless you losing to many visitors, $22.62 is not too bad and can still be used as extra income. Sometimes you can always contact the company that your using (for inline ads) and you can ask for help having them optimize the ads for your site. Sometimes the money problem with inline ads is on their ends, so if you decide to keep them, check with them and make sure that the ads are fully optimized on both ends...
