if you was making a forum what would you do?

Gaming? or General Discussion?


opinions on both please


i would do promotion but i think there is too many out there for promotion so would be a waste of time.

Both are good gaming and GD!

Promotion forum are alot out there but you can still try! you never know and to be honest there are lots of gaming forums these days so you still have to compete there too!!

If this is being asked for you to decide what to make, I'm not answering for you. You should make a forum about what you have an interest in. There is no point making a forum about a subject you're not passionate about just to try and get something popular, because you won't have enough interest and/or knowledge in the subject to keep it going probably.

Choose what you want to do. Not what seems the easiest way to try and get something successful based on what everyone else does.

I'm interested in both, which is why I was asking, I have a lot of knowledge in both genres.

I'm leaning more to general discussion as I don't really play much console games now.

What ever one you decide to go for, will need to be unique. There are lots of gaming and general discussion forums out there, you will need lots of knowledge and new ideas to have a successful forum.

You can go for either one of them but you will most certainly struggle. You'd be more successful doing a Promotion Forum in my eyes because people are always looking for places to promote their forum. Your General Discussion or Gaming forum would have to be unique and you'd have to give people a reason to join your forum over another big or upcoming GD forum. 🙂
