When a banned member bypasses

When a banned member bypasses a ban, creates a new account and behaves himself, do you allow him to stay?

I rarely permanently ban members on any of my forums but if I do it's for good reason and they wouldn't be allowed back.

What if they did the bad thing when they were just a kid? Do they still deserve a permanent ban?

I haven't had to ban a member in a very long time, in fact, been a good five years, that's good right. I had to deal with one little joker who made many different emails account and kept changing his IP address, I just played his little game and bad it more challenging for him. I won at the end of the day as he gave up. The bad news however it had a little bad impact on the site, meaning logged onto the site for the first time on that day and he posted images of not very nice things.

I believe in 2nd chances if the person is willing to change for the good and can prove that then yes I am willing to I let them back in but generally the people who get banned are either pretty bad or rude

I’ll humor them by allowing them to stay on the board. I’ll alert staff to keep an extra eye on that member.

If people really want to be on your forum and they are persistent, they will find a way to make that happen no matter what you do (unless you disable new registrations all together).

If the banned member starts doing the same thing (harming the community), I will ban him again, but otherwise, I will allow him to stay and give him another chance. But in my experience, when someone is banned and bypasses the system to join again, he commits the same mistake and eventually gets bnned again.

After eight warnings points given to that member, I have a system in place. Then out of the site and depends what that person did, depending how long to wait for a request or maybe never

If you force me to ban you, you've done something really bad. If you can't do the appeal process and you go around it, I no longer have an interest in you being a part of my community. I'll continue to ban you and take any possible measure I can to rid you of the community.

It is very rare that I will permanently ban an account unless they have done something so bad that it warrants a permanent ban on the forum. If someone evades a bad and tries to get back on the forum, I will more than likely ban those accounts as well if I know for sure it is them trying to ban evade as I know if they were banned, it was for a pretty serious issue.

I think it depends on the extremities of why they were banned and how long it's been since they were originally banned. I'm usually all for second chances, but some extremities may not deserve a second chance.

I have seen this happen before on other forums years ago. Yes, they did end up just being allowed to stay if they behaved and didn't cause issues. I have done this on a resource forum, and I am fairly sure the staff know it is me. I have behaved myself for years now, and still doubt I'd be able to be staff on there. I forgot when I got banned, and when I rejoined the forum/site though...

Nowadays probably the best route to take.
