When an error occurs...

Hello 🙂 I just wanted to get some feedback and well, start a discussion and get to know what other
Administrators do when they receive an error.

I am running a forum on phpBB, so my knowledge is full of phpBB stuff and not so much other software,
but what do you do when an error occurs?

Because mine is not a free hosted forum, I have access to all the code and such so I can fix it
myself, and I find this fairly... scary? when I have to fix this because one character out of line in code
the whole forum/website can crash.

So what do you do when an error occurs? I have a go at fixing, and when that fails, I ask others,
what do you do?

Luckly I have not had this happen - well once when I dabbled but I backed it up and corrected it straight away.

Being a complete dope with coding I tend to shout "CHRISTIAN"

I run Murder and preform dirty deeds until he's ready to assist with the issue at hand 🙂

Actually I usually try to fix it myself first, check Google second, and FP support is my 3rd choice.
