I am thinking about purchasing a new computer, but this time getting one with everything, litterally.

A desktop with the i7 processor, 16gb or ram, 2tb hard drive, microsost office 2010 proffesional, 20''+ screen size...just about everything.

Now...when buying a new computer, do you usually get one decked out, or do you buy a mid-range computer?

What do you think I should do?

Where is the best place online or offline to purchase a computer fully decked out, or one that is midrange, etc...?

I am thinking if I do get the one that is decked out with everything, is getting a warranty too with it, so taking that into consideration with the company I go with.

Is that build/price just not practical?

I check marked everything there just for comparison purposes.

You are wanting a lot of stuff combined in, the computer itself probably doesn't cost that much but all those extra's probably don't help the cause.

Also, might I a make a suggestion of getting a smaller (maybe solid state) hard drive for your operating system and then a bigger one for your extra data.

I say this because if you go and buy that 2TB hard drive the platters inside those things are almost paper thin. Oh and not to mention how fragmented it will probably get if you don't fragment it every week.

Putting the O.S. on a Solid State drive will allow your O.S. to not only boot faster but your Operating system is less likely to crash and burn and then you have to go through the process of loading the entire thing back onto the drive.

Now even if you use a 2TB hard drive as a data drive, I would suggest looking up how to split it up into multiple virtual drives as this will help prevent so much Fragmentation within the hard disk and if you have it split up the data that's on the drive will be found much quicker than if the computer had to search the entirety of the 2TB hard drive.

This is just my knowledge and it could be wrong but I hope, if anything, I helped you.

But do any of those sites offer warranty's of any kind.

I'm still not sure if I should go all out on a desktop or just get like a midgrade one with 6-12gb ram and 1tb hd, etc...?

The first one you are looking at may be a bit extreme, especially in prices.
A good computer down from that would be:
Intel i7 2600K Quad Core.
8GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM
nVidia 450. Great mid range graphics card.
Generic Case.
And whatever peripherals you need after that.

What about this one, would you get it?
