Is there a magic number of members, page views, guests online, etc... that you wait till you put your adsense codes up?

Or once you create your site/forum you put them up immediately?

Thanks

Normally straight away. Otherwise when you add it people start to complain a lot. But if its there to start with then the don't complain about it.

Ok thank you, another question...

Have any of you placed ads on certain pages, but not others?

Such as a VIP forum with no ads, but a "Member Introductions" forum with ads?

I generally place ads in the header and footer in most forums I admin.

Putting ads in posts or between posts can be kind of annoying for some members.

I also put ads straight away since people might complain if you suddenly have a lot of ads like when Youtube came out with those commercials and in-video banner ads.

I read a few post on forums, and blogs where people obsess over getting more ad clicks by changing colors, and ad blending. But, their website gets very little traffic or no major increase in traffic because they stop promoting their site or posting more content which is useful to their members and guests.

In my experience, making money with traffic with Adsense requires having useful content on posted on a website on a daily basis, and spending time on promotion, so people can find your content.

Or a bit closer to home when Fergal put up the Frog Host Ad.

Looking to place ads only for non members, members may get some advertisements but less than non members.
