I was just wondering, what should you say in an email if you are interested in buying a forum to make it as professional as possible. Not that I need to know this right now, but it may be helpful for future pourposes.

What I have done in the past is email who owns the domain as per the whois. Then ask about buying the forum and list what I would do to make it better and explain to the current owner that they can help out in administration if they felt like it.

Its always good to be as polite as possible and accept no for an answer.
I get people being very straight forward when letting me know they want my forum.

Being polite is a great tip. Also, starting out with the correct thing such as "Hello," or "Greetings!" is appropriate. Along with that is making sure you end with a signature such as:

Always send an email through a custom domain email. @hotmail.com just looks really cheap and unprofessional.

Well some people don't have a domain that wants to buy one 😛

Anywho, just contact them anyway you can and let them know you are legitimately interested.

Then at least use Gmail, as it is more professional looking.
