Up-and-Coming Sensation
Hey, over the past 15 days I have been having troubles with my host. Since the beginning of the month I have experienced 3 (possibly more) outages with my host.
Outage 1-
At first I thought it was simply my internet connection. However, after testing multiple other websites not located on the server I came to the conclusion that my host is out. I waited for about an hour before I contacted my host. About 10 minutes later I get a response saying "Planned Downtime". Hmm... Ok... Shouldn't you have told me? Alright whatever... It was just down for a few hours. We all dealt with it and moved on.
Outage 2- A few days later
Ok, now this is annoying... I just gave you the benefit of the doubt and now your down again? I contact the company within 5 minutes. They didnt have any clue why the server was down. Hmm... I will give them a little longer. Ok, finally 3 hours later the website is backup.
Outage 3- About a week later
WHAT? This is absolutely outrageous! No pun intended... I contact the hosting company as an angry client
. I fall asleep at 11PM & wake up at 6AM. The website is still down! By this time I must be headed to work and gone. I contact them on my way out the door. Finally, at 9AMish they contact me saying that I need to change me nameservers over to the new ones. I will be away from my computer for about 12 more hours. I need the server up now! Why didnt they alert their clients they would be changing before hand?
Highlight: I asked them to change my nameservers for me since I was away from my computer. They did this and within an hour everything was back to normal.
Now, I have a few clients myself. They all rely on me to provide top notch services and most have left now. When is it time to move on and find a new host no matter what?
