I think about that all the time how my favorite musicians are getting old just like me. I'm a musician and have played for 35 years and still playing.
My Musical Family~Which leads me to my topic:
I like Bruce Springsteen and when Bruce lost Clarence Clemons the saxaphone player I s deeply saddened. I realized how old I was. And how old Bruce is getting himself, but Bruce still puts on a great show with tons of energy! Even all the great hair bands have lost their mojo(Hair), so ya know we're getting old. I just saw Jimmy Pages 69th Birthday photo...
So, here's to the good ole` Rockin days in which "real music" was created and played LOUD!!!

I'm a huge fan of Michael W. Smith, and he's actually getting up there in age himself (if you know what I mean). I've completed my Smitty collection with exceptions being about three albums I haven't gotten yet. Even if you just read about artists like Smitty and Springsteen, it can be an eye opener for you as to just how old you are whether you're a fan of them or not. I'm 25 in June, and MWS released his first album "Michael W. Smith Project" way back when in 1983. I didn't become a Smitty fan until I'd nearly finished school. I first heard about him in my sophomore year of high school, and in the following years quickly became a fan. I'm pretty sure that after artists like these pass away, there's usually a ton of greatest hits albums and tribute albums being released. I remember this happening with the Beach Boys for the longest time. I only got probably three of their greatest hits albums, because it seems like with every such compilation, they always dish out the same songs, with the only perks sometimes being a track that wasn't released originally. It's interesting to think about with any artist though, that's for sure.
