The point of social networks such as Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook is to reach out from your site to others and make a connection. Yet, there are many tools online that are designed to give you an easy way out, such as posting updates on a schedule or updating automatically from an RSS feed drawn from another site. These tools will save you time, but they could also cost you money, since they rob you of the chance to personally speak to your online fans on a one to one basis. When you think of your Facebook fan page more like a forum which needs constant interaction, then you will be able to plug into your fan base in a powerful new way. Maybe the key is to find balance with how you use automated tools to interact with Facebook, only using them when you have no other option. Budget time daily to spend on Facebook personally commenting back to your fans. This will let you have the best of both worlds, while still building the relationships you need with your fans.

You mean to say outsourcing my services or hiring someone to maintain my social profiles? This is good for a person who can afford for it and have huge work loads to actually look into what is going social. I would prefer maintaining my own Facebook page rather than provide a third party service. You need to absolutely sure of the person who is replying to you fan mails.
