When selling a forum

When selling a forum are you one to just approve the highest bid or do they have to show some sort of knowledge on the subject and make you feel they will continue to run the forum like you did?
 
Of course it's about continuing the longevity of your forum and keeping it online and running the way you set out for it to be. I do know people who sold their forum(s) for the highest price possible too and the forums went down shortly after. Old owners soon went crying off about their successful forum being ruined by the new owner.
 
I'd like for the new owner to have somewhat some knowledge in the subject to make it continue.
 
I'd say if someone sells something, the new owner should be able to do whatever he or she likes with their forum.
 
If you are really that eager for money, I wouldn't sell your own forum. I would let my friend run it or something.
