When the admin is a troll?

Hmm, does the community (as a whole) think the member (who got promoted) is a troll? If so that would cause the entire memberbase to leave I would imagine.

This has happened only once that I can think of but I didn't leave the forum, I stole it and made it my own 😱

Actually there was a little more to it than that. The forum owner made the mistake of giving too much away to a newly appointed administrator and he was able to lock out the owner, appoint himself the new king and proceeded to troll the entire membership.

As it was a forum I was heavily invested in I sided with the troll publicly and privately, eventually persuading him to give me enough access to turn the tables and ban him. When I tried to return the forum to the original owner he asked me to take permanent ownership of it which I did.

I've made a member and moderator who turned out to be a troll.

The drama it created ended with me banning the moderator altogether.

Now I try to be really careful about it.

I have never been on any forum where the admin is a troll, however, I was once on a forum where the admin had hired a troll
