When you call a business, do you want to talk to a human being or talk to a robot that gives you (x) amount of dial options to reach a specific department?

I always want to talk to an human being and also the person from my own country LOL not from a Indian call center

If there’s a random robotic reply, I just keep pressing numbers until I reach a real person. The robotic replies drive me insane.

Sometimes I'll ask the robot if it can get me a human being and it'll say "transferring you to a representative"

Too bad that option isn't available when calling the IRS to check on your tax refund. 🙁

I always just listen to the prompts, so I can get transferred to the correct department the first go around. If I'm ever unsure, I'll just go straight to a representative.

On the occasions I've called into work, I'll just skip the prompts and have whoever picks up the phone connect me to the person I need to speak to. Nine times out of ten, it's a manager that picks up the phone anyways lol.

I prefer a person. The automated system is limited for the things I need to do.

If I get just a hint of a recorded message I give my phone to my partner. In mitigation I do most of the cooking and housework so she needs something to fill her time :angelic:

With an AI you tend to get nowhere and speak to someone. I mean you end up going round in a damn cyle
