Where are the variables

I am looking to find out where the constant variables are located for use in the overall_header.html -- So, these constants should be able to be used in the overall_header.html -- I want two things, the session_id and user_id from the logged in user.

Yes, I am using phpBB3, I got the user_id one though can't figure out what phpBB3 calls the session_id

They should be within a lanuage file in /board_root/lanuage but which file I'll have a look at for you.
