We went from an over abundance of webmaster forums to darn near none. Does anyone know where they all went? I know forums are slowly dying but I'd assume that webmasters still want a place to talk, get help, sell/buy services, etc.

If anyone knows any others let me know ๐Ÿ™‚ I'm looking to join some!

There are around ๐Ÿ˜‰ Not many but there are around. AdminLoop is still going ๐Ÿ˜‰

Seems forum is down but other site is running

The site is there but the forum is 404 Not Found.

ForumPromotion is still around! ๐Ÿ˜€

What would you like to see here @Xyphien? What features do you feel we're missing? It'd be great to find out what we could do better!

A good webmaster forum is forumer.io

It's quite new but is getting more activity as the days go by and the owner is on the community team for forum promotion. I haven't been active there in a while but did join in a while back. If your looking for a webmaster forum to get on you might like that one. Where they all went, who knows. I haven't been keeping much track but there are still several others as well including one called webmastersun which I don't use but is another popular one.

It's really the activity, being on multiple means I can swap between them and if they both have low/medium activity it'll still be enough to have semi-frequent activity on. Another thing I personally love about forumer.io as @TopSilver mentioned, is their user tiers.

These I think are great, and also help be more incentives for people in general. On top of that it really stands you out over others for certain things such as being informative. I think it could be expanded on, on another community or even Fio to have different sections for verification. Much like forum promotion Fio is built around forum webmasters and kind of lacks in the rest of the webmaster sections. Druple, wordpress, custom scripts, etc. In order to get Gold Tier you have to have a forum with x amount of members, x amount of topics and posts. Luckily Thomasss gave me a pass, as my forum is a resource forum specifically and doesn't get much forum activity. Instead it gets resource downloads, views, etc. With almost 40k members, it well exceeded the membership criteria but lacks in the topics/posts. As stated though, I luckily got a pass by Thomasss, however if you have a successful site that sells stuff. You're getting 1M + views a month, you have countless clients buying and selling on your site but no forum, you can't get the Gold Tier Webmaster title, even though you're a successful webmaster.

Having options like my webmaster discord has had for over a year would be nice.

Active Roles: Newbie - Level 1 Member.

Simi-Active - Level 5 Member.

Active - Level 10 Member.

Well-Known - Level 15 Member.

Famous - Level 20 Member.

Infamous - Level 25 Member.

Successful Roles:

Growing Site Owner - Either having a website with 50k monthly views or having over 5,000 registered members.

Medium Site Owner - Either having a website with 100k monthly views or having over 10,000 registered members.

Large Site Owner - Either having a website with 500k monthly views or having over 25,000 registered members.

Huge Site Owner - Either having a website with 1m monthly views or having over 50,000 registered members.
Massive Site Owner - Either having a website with 10m monthly views or having over 100,000 Registered members.

This way as previously stated I think it really helps reward people for being successful, as well as incentivize people to learn to be successful.

Adding the badge system could also incentivize more activity, referrals, etc. That's one way I managed to get the nearly 40k members I have was from referrals, badges, of course being ranked first on google for years didn't hurt ๐Ÿ˜‰

I totally agree on the activity point - I often login here and it's really quiet - and when I check throughout the day, it seems there's sudden activity spikes. There's definitely some work (primarily through SEO & Marketing) that can be done to bring in some fresh members.

I like the verifications system too: Adds a little more than the default user titles which offer no real incentive/levelling and is purely post count based: Not so much experience

Thereโ€™s digital point forums and TheAdminZone too. Unfortunately TAZ isnโ€™t as active as it used to be back in the days.
