The web is growing rapidly, more and more sites are being made each day, more forums/blogs and businesses established online. What do you think it takes to be in with a good chance of keeping up your websites or forums? What tips do you have for new web-masters to succeed in the fast lane of the internet, share your ideas here.

I think new sites nowadays you have to work 5 times harder than 10 years ago, as the competition is growing rapidly

I'll settle for a forum about war where an entire group of people known as hippys is against me, thank you...

I certainately agree.

I think that if you can keep the forums active and keep advertising it around, that should keep it gonig but only for a while. You need to make updates more interesting, don't just do updates for the forum to look good do updates on what the members want!

It is hard now to create a successful website and forum. There are many sites and forums out there covering each and every subject. Whatever you make yu will have alot of competition from bigger and more established sites.

The only tips i have is to try and make you site unique. You need to give people a good reason to join your forum or visit your site. People will nearly always choose the biggest site to visit rather then newer sites or forums unless the smaller sites or foruns offer something different.

Find a niche that has low competition , look for something that maybe handy in a few years? maybe new release of something
make some $$$

🙂

maybe a forum about science would become big rapidly. where you explain the big bang and that 'god' had nothing to do with it. imagine thousands of christians flaming you.
