Where Do We Go When We Die?

I believe you are buried in the ground. There. I said it.

I am not very religious so my opinion is that i feel that, yes, you may experience something like a dreaming effect, but in reality you are in the ground. And i think even the most religious people believe that also, except they think(correct me if i am wrong) that they're SOUL goes to heaven. Not their physical body. I think my body and soul will stay in the same spot, but that's just my opinion.

It is and i stick too it.

I respect everyone else's beliefs, i don't go and say oh your a retard for thinking that! Or anything like that.

Some people do some strange stuff and is kind of different in my mind but i never call them out on it because everyone believes different things. Like ghosts *inserts ghost smilie*

There are definitely people who have a genuine ability to communicate with souls that have 'passed over to the other side'. I have first-hand experience in this. Actually, each and every living person has this ability, but not everyone learns how to tune in and use that part of our brains. Human beings do not use all of the brain. Hence why dogs and cats will often know things that we don't.

Slightly off topic there. but if people have managed to communicate with souls from the the other side then yes, there must be an afterlife. We all have souls.

I think those are called like witches or wizards or something.

I completely agree with you, everyone does have this ability, my forum is all about this kind of thing because I believe in it and like you have experienced it, i'm a medium and have had my proof of life after death.

I too have both seen and heard the paranormal.

I find it both amusing and rediculous that some believe that there is no afterlife when they have had no experience with it.

Then we have the kind who ask for "proof"

How the hell could someone hand over proof of another life not apart of this world?

I don't think you are in a place to say others opinions are ridiculous. I am against your opinion and I put this to you:

How can you believe it without proof?

Yeah we might not think there is another world or an 'afterlife' due to no proof, but for one to say that is ridiculous thinking when they believe there is in fact an 'afterlife' without proof is beyond me. It's two sides of a coin and we will probably never be able to prove either side unless we get there.

Now thats as ridiculous as it gets.

There is no point in debating with closeminded individuals if they continue to thinking narrow minded.

Take for example...

Whether you agree or not, I HAVE seen and heard the paranormal/ghosts/spirits, whatever you want to call them.

And your "Asking for proof?"

Thats as ridiculous as it comes.

Goes the same for those asking for proof of God.

If someone has proof of either that'd fasicnate me even without me actually viewing said proof.

So it may come down to...is the paranormal unprovable?

How would you define proof?

Your version of proof may differ from the person next to you.

Obviously its different than mine..

*is not gonna start out with an argument* I'm not totally sure what to believe yet. When i was young, i was always told about Heaven and Hell, and out of fear, I believed it. I'm not totally sure what i believe now, but I believe a few things, at the moment.

One thing i believe is, Your mind can't just rot there. It has to travel with your spirit(or to get scientific, travel with the energy to be used somewhere else in the universe). In a word, reincarnation. I don't believe in immediate reincarnation, i believe in a possibility that the energy of spirits collect and manifest in the sky, and to the spirits, it appears as what they believe. For Christians, heaven. And i was told by a christian friend, "Heaven is supposed to be the best place ever, where you get whatever your hear desires." And that made me think, "What if my hear desired, to be reborn, man or woman, back on earth. That's what i'd love. Realistic, challenging life on earth." And so that made me think, people with the same mind-set could be reborn.

And bad souls have to go somewhere. I'm not sure how to explain it without being cheesy, so here i go. Bad souls could have hearts of stone, cold and unbreakable, weighing them down and keeping them from rising up, placing them in an underworld.

Like i said, totally unsure at the moment. 😕

If we're speaking in a technicality, some people will go to where they live to die, rather than dying in a hospital.

Onto the actual question; To me, seeing is believing. I have not seen any logical, real proof that after we die, we go to heaven or hell. Yes, there are many books and movies which say 'heaven is like this' etc, but who's to say after we die that's it? Nothing else?

I honestly think it's pathetic to live your life dreaming of going to heaven someday. If there really is no heaven/hell, you'll be disappointed when you die. I know some people, when they have near-death experiences say they had an 'out of body' experience, and, it may be true.

I realize I'm straying off the topic, and I apologize. My point has been said.

Most don't, but some find it quite reassuring to believe that.

If there really is no heaven/hell, you'll be disappointed when you die.
If there is nothing you will know nothing, so, no disappointments imo.

I believe that what we consider to be 'bad souls/people' get the same opportunities in the afterlife as everyone else, a chance to progress, i'm not saying that bad actions are automatically wiped out when we die but we do get a chance to see where we went wrong and a chance to learn from that, of course some will choose to stay that way, but I don't believe these go to 'hell' as such.

-- 25 Nov 2010, 02:55 --

How can you believe it without proof?

Perhaps the person you asked has had their own personal proof?

I'm sure we all believe in something we have no proof of, and in things we can't see or touch or hear, we can't see, hear or touch electricity but we know it's an energy and that it exists and it can create pictures or light, very much like spirits can.

I'm a firm believer in the world of spirit, I have had my own proof but as you stated you have had no proof, one day you may have, or maybe you won't, it isn't up to us believers to convert non believers, if you don't believe it, that is your right and your choice but at the same time nor should non believers demand believers to prove anything because we can't. Just as we can't immediately prove the afterlife, non believers cannot immediately disprove it, it's all about individual beliefs and having respect for an individuals beliefs, imo

It always winds me up when people say if you can really do it why don't you get the lotto numbers, or give me the numbers, or give me a reading, we're not performing seals we're people just like everyone else 🙂

Marijuanaville, it's really quite wonderful, I've only had a few glimpses in visions though.

Jesus told me.

Half answered here. I had to.

I believe that I don't have an authority to speak of on this subject, seeing how I've never died. But I suppose I can hope to believe that an ultimate justice, omnibenevolence, or omniscient governing force judges and reacts accordingly to all actions.

I don't know, call me weird.

I believe that I will be reincarnated and be asked to answer for every sin, I have committed in this life and then god will decide for me heaven or hell.
