Where do you download your mods from ?

I would personally say never download mods from unofficial sites unless they are the modification author.

But phpbb.com and vb.org.

When I was on advanced hosting with PHPBB, we got our mods from phpbb.com mostly. I guess you could say we were into "official" sites if you will. You know, sites where you knew you were getting the real deal, and not just a copy of the real thing or a fake.

Always download your modifications in official forum sites like if you have MyBB, download mods in the MyBB Mod Site.

Same here. 😉 You can get most of the good ones from the official site, but there are some great (and mostly exclusive) ones on MyBBsource as well.

I use phpBB so I get my mods from the phpBB mods database. Another site I'll use is phpbbhacks.com but most of the time I try to stick with mods supported in the phpBB database.

Ditto for me. Also Fowler and CarMadMike are great at finding the Mods we need for Forum Promotion.

For phpBB3, I got them from phpbb.com. Safest way. I use Wordpress now, so plugins is their equivelent, I guess. I don't even need to download them, I can add them straight from the ACP, and the files get added and everything. So useful 😀 .
