Where do you go to get movie Reviews?

Where do you go to get a review about a movie you want to watch?

Until recently I'd pick a movie I think I'd like to watch and see it through to the end. More recently I find myself giving up on almost every movie I've started to watch after a few minutes because they are all so utterly dreadful.

I now check on Wikipedia for aggregate reviews and avoid almost everything because the reviews are so poor. I think the movie industry, Hollywood in particular has probably had its day.

When I was younger, we would watch Siskel and Ebert on TV and they were the OGs of reviewers! They gave honesty about how they felt about the movies, the acting, the sets, etc... But they've both passed away and now I turn to sites like Rotten Tomatoes.

I use Rotten Tomatoes since they also give scores along with their reviews.

There's a New Zealand website called Flicks.co.nz that I will often look at for reviews. It's like our official movie and TV site here. They have local reviews AND show the international reviews for the movie or show.

Most of the time via YouTube or sites online 😉 I never really go into a store and read reviews anymore, you can't even do that anymore hahaha
