Just a disclaimer, this is not the debate area of the forum, so we will not be debating within this topic.

On that note - where do you stand politically?

I'm a registered Democrat in New York - I know figures. However, I have worked on Republican campaigns and I currently work for a Republican Assemblyman from Long Island, NY.

How about you? How did your roots in ideology begin?

I'm a pretty strong Conservative. I really don't feel like Sanders, Hillary, etc. stand for the working middle-class man. Sanders (to me at least) seems to appeal most to the 16-25 age demographic, and Hillary is appealing to people who want another Clinton in office. 😛 I personally want someone who is able to at least talk about the things I feel are important like immigration, healthcare, and welfare. That's pretty much how I stand.

...I don't. I prefer to lay on a hammock relaxing preferably as I watch others stand and watch them chew each other out. 😛 The problem with politics (in my humble opinion) is that people are too eager to talk about an individual's weaknesses, wrong-doing, personality flaws, social associations, etc instead of focusing on the real problems of the country/world and working together to formulate solutions.

That's definitely the issues rising with social media and the news media taking things out of control. It's not like the original days like Eisenhower campaign, Nixon campaign, Kennedy campaign. It's a whole different game now.

I'll be a registered Democrat in around Aprilish when I register for the November vote. 🙂

Wow, that's possible? 😱 Is it very common for assemblymen to employ people from other parties?

Anyway, I'm a democrat. Used to be a republican, then a libertarian for a while, but I settled on being a democrat. 🙂 I'm a bit conservative on foreign policy, but not much more conservative than President Obama, Hillary Clinton, etc.

So the position I had is appointed and not by civil service. So you kind of ignore your beliefs and just work on the behalf of Assemblymember which is cool. 🙂

I vote conservative in the UK.
I would vote for democrats in US.

Kind of strange but on many issues I agree with democrats.
