Where is the best place to advertise your forum?

Hi guys,

So in your opinions. Where do you believe the best place to advertise your forum is? (aside from Forum promotion and such like)

Has anyone used Google AdWords?
Specific Affiliates maybe?

Any help would be appreciated, as im looking for more targeted 'member getting' 😀

Promotion forums, twitter, and anywhere you can put your ad. Not always promotion forums, if you are willing to put some money into it then you could put ads anywhere really.

You need to advertise where your niche presides. There is no point in advertising to a bunch of mainly administrators (FP) as they will most likely not be interested. I see that your forum has technology and retail sections, so look for forums of that niche and place your link in your signature and make a few posts. Make sure you are advertising to your niche - probably the most important thing you can do.

I use promotion forums to an extent, but like David said, those can only get you so far. Now I'm starting to add my signature of my site in forums that are the same niche as mine, and this has seemed to help slightly. I don't have too much time to do any major promotion now, but I'm sure I will look at more opportunities during the future.
