I use chrome because it's easy to handle and less loading time when I open it.
I am also a web engineer, but I do not use InternetExplorer and Edge at all. The reason is that it can not be installed on Linux.I use Opera, and have been using it since around 2013 when it switched to the WebKit engine. It's Chrome without all the Google nastiness.
But as a web developer, I use them all.

Edge is annoying because it's closely tied to Windows 10's update cycle and the thing isn't available in 7. Every-time there's a major update in Windows, there's also one in Edge, but you need the Windows update for the Edge update. To be honest, working with Edge is no different than working with Chrome, Opera or Firefox, most of the time. It's actually quite pleasant to work with.
The fun bit is with some types of borders where one browser needs it to be set to 1px, another needs 1.5px, and the other needs 2px to produce a border with the same thickness in all three. To be honest, working with Edge is no different than working with Chrome, Opera or Firefox, most of the time. That's a far cry from the IE6 days however.
Inset borders and some other odd things.I have to say, I haven't run into that problem you're describing.

Shades of colour also aren't that consistent on them, if I recall.
I'm not sure I like variable units, as they're less predictable, but I'll give it a try and see what happens. It's just one older theme anyway with the inset borders.I very rarely use pixel units these days. Do you get the same results with ems? That also gets around the issue of 'disappearing' borders on mobile due to the high pixel density.

Firefox 'cause its super fast now and Mozilla stands up for your internet rights whereas Google tracks a lot of your information. Although they say they don't sell it like Facebook, it still seems a bit fishy to me.
