Which do you like more Mobile Sites or Mobile Apps?

I tend to like applications more as a lot of the times mobile sites lack a lot of features or in layout design. Sometimes the applications fix that to the point you are not having to request the desktop version every few pages for the lacking options. I tend to do this jump between on Amazon & other places all the time. Tracking options usually just seem to disappear in the mobile version. Which Amazon's app in this case is not so forgiving either. (Mobile browsing just stinks in general).

I like both. Mainly because my old HTC One V runs slow on certain apps, but my 2012 Nexus 7 runs both very well.

I own a Nexus 7 2012 as well, but I tend to run out of space easily because of the number of games, and files I have on it. I generally prefer mobile sites since I read a lot of blogs and forums. If I downloaded every blog with a mobile app, I probably end up filling my tablet with apps.

I like the Facebook mobile site more than the App because the Facebook App sometimes load slower, and is not as fast as the mobile site.

Twitter's mobile app also seem slower than the website in my experience.

I also find downloading apps kind of a hassle when I am already on a mobile site because I have to agree to download the app, and then it ask me to download the APK app installer file to install the App, or the site redirects me to Google Play where I need to agree to install the App.

I also dislike how some apps get updated on a weekly, monthly, or even daily basis, and there are no major or important changes to the Apps. App updates sometimes take many minutes to download on slower Wi-Fi or Data.

That is why I love to disable, "auto update" & usually have "Download only on wi-fi" checked off. Some applications tend to download too much. For me it always seems to be the bloody cell providers bloatware that wants to update. To me the only real good application the cell providers put on there is bill pay. Maybe the data manager too, thanks to lovely data caps these days. Meh, mobile anything internet related just stinks.

If you're serious about your website, you should definitely do both. Would be a waste of time for forums or other small websites though.

I think a mobile responsive website template are more affordable these days, and it may end up saving you a little money on bandwidth if you use a web host which restrict your bandwidth to 1TB or less like MediaTemple's shared hosting because mobile responsive themes are designed to load faster and save data for smartphone users.

There are also a lot of free templates, but you would have to link back to the theme creator's website which maybe an unwanted link if the theme creator's link on the template is a gambling or adult website which is not related to your website category which is not related to Adult and Gambling content.

I think an App for an informational website like a blog, forum, or static website is not as useful, and it maybe better to use the time, and money on web hosting, a good domain name, and writing more posts to attract more.

Mobile site is cheaper thank Mobile app, in my view. I use MyBB and planning to install mybb mobile support.

Mobile apps usually have push notifications but if a Site is Responsive, then that is good too...this is a toughie

Mobile apps are easier to use more often than not (and they run a bit smoother). However, mobile websites usually have a lot more functionality and usually do not leave out any features that the regular site would have.

I think a lot of mobile sites these days use Responsive website templates which automatically resizes it's website to work well on lower resolution devices like smartphones, and tablets, so the functionality like the sidebar, and social networking sharing buttons are still there, but they maybe located at the bottom of the page instead of the side.

Applications and versatile sites give a comparative experience, mobile sites are dispersed through web indexes and by means of connections from different destinations - they can be gotten to from any place with a web association.

Depends. I really like my bank's mobile app and deposit checks on it, but some I prefer sites on if it's too over-complicated on the app.
