Which domain would you use?

I have 2 good domains for a Nintendo based forum, but unsure which one I should use...

http://nintendoforums.net/
http://www.wiiuforums.net/

Right now I have it setup with Nintendoforums, would it make any major difference in terms of SEO to use the other one (Wiiuforums) instead?

This. Unless you want a forum just on the Wii U, of course.

I'd thought about going with the Wii U domain because that's probably what people are searching for more, but it does make sense to start with Nintendo right from the start.

I would go with wiiuforums and redirect the other domain to this

Since you have a Nintendo based forum, it is best to use http://nintendoforums.net/ instead of http://www.wiiuforums.net/ as the first domain shows your forum main focus whereas the second one focus on a certain and particular gadget only.

I'm not a game, so don't give too much weight to my opinion. Personally I don't even know how to pronounce "Wiiu", so for that reason I would go with http://nintendoforums.net/

I would also go with the first as it has keyword, it can show your brand name, purpose as well.. people would know what you are site about without visiting your website.

are you referring to the .in domain extension ?

or are you referring to the misspelled 'nintendo' ?

If you are still looking for ideas, nintendoforum.net would be better then you can also talk about the wii and the wii u with any other nintendo systems.
