Which host to use?

I am looking to start making forums and I want to use a host which allows you to upload your own files, instead of using their own forum creator. could anyone point me in the direction of a reliable host please?

Also, they must allow you to use your own domain.

what exactly do you mean? all forum hosters require you to use their stuff. Wether you download it and thenupload those files to your site or they give you a free domain(on one of there servers) and hosting...it just depends on which one you go with. But none of them let you make and upload your own files to create a forum(if thats what you mean). If you want to biuld a site from scratch then you won't be using a forum host.

Instead of the forum being automatically created, I want to install it myself.

I don't want to use hosts which require you to fill out a form and the forum is created straight after it's complete. As stated in my first post, I am looking to start making forums and need help on which host to use not including free forum hosts.

I have some disk space and bandwidth that I'm not using. It's full cpanel hosting (I have a reseller account on hostgator). You could have 2g of disk space and 10g of monthly bandwidth. I'll you would have to do is post 25 times a month to my forum (and a one time 50fp cash donation) and you can have it for as long as you want to.
