Which make more money for you :Text links or banner ads?

I think it depends on your category for your forum. If your forum is about flash gaming and has a flash games arcade then banner ads with flashy pictures might earn you more cash.

But, if your forum is about non-visual stuff like internet marketing, books, legal help, parenthood,etc, text ads might work better unless the banner ad is very well designed to make people click.

None of them. Its people clicking them which makes you money. Having one or the other may influence someone to click it and thus make you money, but having one or the other isn't going to make more money.

Well put dotDavid. I agree. It doesn't matter which type of ad you are placing on your site, if the ad is not being clicked your not going to be making money. Regardless of site, I'd just leave it both, unless theres a problem with having one or the other.
