Linux or windows, what Operating system do you guys use, i have been using windows for up to 9 years till i switched to Kali, although i still use windows but just for gaming, because Linux does not have high end games.

But Kali is safer than windows, and it best suits my profession.

I have used both 🙂 but end of the day I tend to use Windows allot. And I mean 100% of the time. Last time I was using Linus was in a classroom by myself just playing around with some options

Neither one, I don't understand why people seem to think windows or linux are the only operating systems,
I have never used Windows, never considered it to be a operating system, I do remember when it was first released,
and I even tried it, but it was really a very bad program and crashed my system, I just stayed with Dos, and went to
FreeDos, when it was released.
For servers , Unix, and later Linux, not only as a server but on my PC as well, after all said and done though, I am using OpenBsd, both on the desktop PC and on one server, the other server is still Linux, but will be migrating / changing it
to OpenBsd soon.
Never had any use for MS windows, never could do anything with it. However I do think it is important for anyone to use
the OS they are most comfortable with.
Since I never really used Windows, I am not at all comfortable with it, can not figure out how to do anything, etc.
On a unix or unix like system , it is user friendly and easy for me to understand.

I don't know about "kali", I have heard of it, it is another linux distro. I don't think it is intended for "desktop" use, and
I have never heard of it being used to power a server.

I am still with Windows and am currently using Windows 10. I am not very comfortable with Linux OS on my desktop.

I am currently using Windows 10 for an operating system on my Desktop computer. It's alight.

I'm still using Windows 7. All the time I use Windows unless for specific work that need to use Linux.

I have several colleagues who are pestering me with Linux. It is an open OS that can run like Windows, they said. No need for Windows license which is understandably expensive. I have been using Windows all my life since Windows 95 and now my official computer at work is running on Windows 7. It’s not easy to make a paradigm shift when you are a busy person.... and a senior huh.

Well, it is best use what you are most comfortable with, don't let others "pester" or pressure you, I don't think it is right to try to push a particular OS on any one.

Windows, because it just works. 😀 Long ago I'm a distro hopper but trying new stuffs sometime taking your whole day.

I use macOS on my personal systems then Linux on my web server.

Windows and only windows. I have tried Linux and while it is nice for a secondary OS, it doesn't offer the visuals and overall smooth, likable usability that Windows does. It's far from inferior though, I just never could get into it like I did Windows.

Windows on my computer since it seems to be the most stable and perform at overall best. I love Linux but it just isn't compatible with things that I do on a daily scan for it to let me be my primary OS.
