Which theme?

Ok, i will probably install both themes but which one should i make default?

This is for a tech forum on phpbb

Wow could they be further apart in looks? If I had to pick one I would select option A for a chat forum, but I really don't care for either of them.

Jumping quickly through I saw a lot of them that I liked more than the ones provided. But this one seems to say tech to me more than the others http://www.phpbb.com/styles/demo/3.0/in ... tyle_id=33

It has a nice flow and is not overwhealming on the eyes.

You are best off finding one that you like some, and editing it to be one that fits your forum.

I edited this theme here a bit and made it suit my needs.

Unless you request a new theme it is going to be hard to find something that fits your needs exactly.

Then do a little browsing in the phpbb.com styles section. It is quite easy and if you are just changing images there is no actual code to edit. Just upload pictures and choose which picture you want in the ACP.

Voted for none of them. Both themes aren't greatly designed. Tech forums tend to have limited colors, strong body design, and really get to the point. Design isn't a major factor, but a strong design in how each section fits together is important. Check out a few tech forums and see what they use.

I say option A, Cerulean, for two reasons. Blue is a nice color. Ask the average person what their favorite color is and they will say some variation of Blue, Green, Black, or Red, usually in that order as well. Blue is a good color, easy on the eyes and attractive. I like it.

And personally I'm more fond of wide forums where the boards nearly touch the edge. Some liked it with a fixed width but I like forums that are fluid.

Same here, it's a little overused but still a better choice than A imo.
