The general election is around the corner. Are you registered to vote? Will you be voting and if you are, who are you voting for? Why?

I can't say, because I'm no 'murican :muted:

But I have heard about the nasty stories about a Mr. Kavanagh though.

I live on the moon where there are no voting election

That whole Kavanaugh scandal was ridiculous. I hate politics and politicians.

Voting in many cases is a middle finger - because the vote won't matter anyway. For instance, a Republican vote in San Francisco or liberal one in Utah won't mean much.

It's a sad day.

I hate congressional elections. You usually only get two choices--a Democrat and a Republican. I did vote, but I refuse to vote for mainstream Democrats or any Republicans. I will not voluntarily continue the bipartisan destruction of the United States and all of its citizens.

I did vote, but mainly focused on some local candidates.

In my state, there were a few people listed for state reps, and two of them I refused to vote for, because they were doing anything and everything they could do to slander the other candidates. And guess what party they were? Democrat. Go figure.

I mean, both parties really slander one another. Not sure about your state reps in particular, but it happens. The country is divided.

In my state, the general policy that was always followed with ad campaigns for elections were always to present your side, and make a few comparisons on differences on promises or voting history, then all of the sudden for this year, all of the democrat candidates suddenly started slandering anyone who had ancient history that doesn't matter anymore. FOr example, one of the candidates was being targeted as if he was a bad guy, because 30+ years ago he got ticketed for speeding and then getting in a accident, at the age of 22.

Sadly, that's become the norm in politics.

My island keeps complaining but only 51% of people went out and voted. 🙄

From what I read, Trump had an advantage in cleaning out all the anti-Trump Republicans and the fact it wasn't a total democrat interception - so to speak. However, though, the win in the house by the democrats is indication suburban people, who might have voted Republican, are turning against Trump - a bad sign for Trump.

Well somehow Romney is headed back to Congress lol.

Well, sad to say, maybe, but suburban people simply aren't buying into Trump's extreme nativism anymore. It's too much. But then again, those are the types that don't really care about illegal immigration - because it doesn't affect them. They aren't poor and probably they snub a lot of the poor as lazy (won't get vocational or academic training) and looking for excuses (aka: illegals).

So it's the latte sipping snobs who have destroyed Trump this time.
