Paedophilia is a disorder, not a crime itself. There is nothing illegal about having paedophilia, but there is a legal issue if the preference of children becomes an act of aggression, ie. rape, sexual abuse.

Keep in mind that some non-violent criminals might be even more destructive than violent ones in the long run. An example would be drug dealers themselves. They make other people addicted, and those other people will end up being in either prison or dead in the corner of a street.

An eye for an eye does not work imo. A murdurer won't feel any punishment if you simply execute him. Criminals should all go to prison in my opinion, or to an asylum.

Yes, that's true. However, send them to rehab, have them drug tested periodically, etc. That'd keep him away from dealing drugs. If he's caught with drugs or drugs in his system, he goes to jail and rehab. At some point if it's not working, send him to prison.

It's not always about the level of punishment; it's also about the closure of the family's grief that their loved one has been killed.

Who belongs in prison? Wellf or me that would be:

Rapists, Terrorists, Murderers, and a few others. I believe that you belong in prison when you kill someone and don't have any care in the world about it. Especially if you kill a child.

The prisons or "correctional facilities" is definitely not fit for every crime. Punishment should be different per crime and throwing drug traffickers in with murderers and rapists doesn't do much correcting. The punishment needs to fit the crime but we also don't need to be hardening these criminals.

Prison should not be for small time crimes as you putting them in with harden criminals as can turn the small time once into bigger things
