I saw this debate on the Today Show today and thought it would make an interesting discussion. How many of you guys think the driver should be in charge of the radio while driving, and how many of you guys think it's the passengers job to control the radio?

The driver. The driver can't concentrate if the passenger has a poor taste in music.

The driver is the captain, and the shotgun passenger is the first officer 😛 Unless the captain dedicates you have control over the radio, you do not supersede the captain's authority!

EXACTLY!

I am under the impression that you started this topic because you had a row in real life regarding this matter, and you're trying to rally some support for your cause. Am I correct to assume so?

They should be able to work something out that they both don't mind.

How I have seen it, is that generally speaking, if the driver wants to remain focused while driving, the passenger can change the radio based on general likes and dislikes of the two. Otherwise, I believe the driver should be given general control over the radio.

The driver has the right to the radio. 😛 However, the driver has the right to tell the passenger to change the station as they want to. 😛
