Who Do You Trust to SEO?

My SEO skills suck. I mean they are bad. I was actually looking for a service to do SEO but I notice too many of them charge far too much for what they are giving out. The price of their services are aimed towards successful sites and not the smaller sites that could use their skills. So it comes down to a topic of affordability but I prefer to make it a topic of trust. A lot of us are in the same boat. We own forums and we try to get ahead in anyway that we can....so who do you trust to give you affordable SEO? Is it you? Is it a service? Is it a person? Perhaps I can find someone who can help me via your experiences!

I am running a community forum since 2014. From the beginning of my forum I am trying my best to do SEO perfectly. I am not an SEO expert. But I am always trying my best to do the best for my community forum. I have noticed on several marketplace that there are lots of SEO services available to rank your site. I am not sure if those works perfectly!!

Yeah I've found out that doing it yourself is the best way. I've come across some spammy seo companies/individuals. There's probably good ones out there but I've not some across any, at least ones that don't cost a fortune!

No one. Focus on good content, do everything else well, and search engines will give you good rankings naturally. I don't trust anyone to give me "SEO services" - so many are blackhat or borderline if not entirely and the ones that aren't are hardly worth my time or money. No thank you.

I use large companies plugins for it- for example an accredited Mybb developer or Mybb official developers.
