It looks absolutely awesome and I far prefer it over Facebook. You really need to custom code it to make it how you want it.

I've created two, one for close friends of a particular interest (I have some freaky friends) and another one for one of my forums. I've only used Ning so far which has been alright, but I'd still recommend looking around to make sure first.
