What are the other sites out there which are your "competition".

For me I would say sites like CNET, Engadget, ZDNET and SlashGear are the blogs which are the sort I want to compete with/already do. I already do because if they weren't around people would go looking around for other tech blogs. Luckily I'm one of the only tech blogs advertised here 😛

I would not class Brickset and others like it as competition even though we post the same news, I would call them more allies then rivals.

I don't mean it in the rival sense I mean it in the way if people in your niche 🙂

I would probably say roleplayerguild.com as they are practically the same however they have been more established.

Yep, same as you... We are against the big dogs.

That is where I hope that our personality kicks in and attracts users.

PokeCommunity, Serebii, Mt Moon, PokeBoard, Project Pokemon
I guess you could say that Pokemon is a hard niche to make it in.

There is a much larger Mario Kart board out there, that would be my main competition. We have always been the only active general mario board out there. Since we started, a mario party board and a mario kart board have popped up. You could also say nintendo boards could be competition and there's tons of them.

As we are the only general mario board we do get a few from search engines when people search mario forum. 🙂

A lot of people are competition for our forum. I mean really, there have to be billions of general chat forums out there. We just opened and haven't had a member yet. It's hard to start out new.

Any kind of Promotion Forum or Webmaster Forum 😛
I have to say though, we're becoming one of the larger names in Forum Promoting, and it's quite satisfactory 😀

There's quite a bit in my niche. However it's still been going smoothly.

Besides being about specific video games, my forum also has a complete section to just video games, as well as multiple general chat topics.
So perhaps, other game and General Chat forums. But maybe not as much...

Forums in my same genre? Too many to list, I dont really see them as competition though.

My main competition would be the twoplustwo forums, cardschat, and others. There is too much competition to list.

Every gaming-related forum on this website. 😛

Funny story: My forum's name was actual a kind of wordplay on Gamespot.com, (I thought I was being clever at the time.) so I guess you could say my website's competition was originally gamespot.

There is no competition, only G-A-B-E-N.

(My upcoming product will have a complex competition with Steam, in which I will obviously not triumph, but will profit.)

Strange how I can't actually name any single site that'd be our competition. I guess any other roleplaying forum or Warriors site is, potentially.
