Why Advertise an Empty forum?

If I were starting a new forum, the first thing I would do is start a few threads and then join a few forum promoting sites like this and participate in some post exchanges. Once I got members posting I would then advertize like crazy on as many sites I could find.

I'm making new threads at this minute. The forum is VERY empty, so I'm using all my "creative" power to get my 4 (giggles nervously) members engaged in the forum. Oh well, with time comes power.
