Why are you sick of new promotion forums ?

Tell everyone why you are sick of new promotion forums and make sure you mention everything !

I personally am and It annoys me more when ;
•They use free forum hosts
•Have a free domain such as .tk or .co.cc
•Have copied another forum
•Copy the Category and Forum names from Forum Promotion then deny it
•The admin does not even promote well
•No staff but the owner
•No forum logo or banner

Don't let this thread put those that want to make a promotion forum off, as someone said earlier, take in what has been said and try and make yours different.

Because it's going to take time to get a userbase that's considered good enough to be userful for submitting a site/forum to, and sometimes when a site starts to do good, it closes down, only to open up yet again a new, empty promotion board that has to start form the beginning again.

Because the new board itself is what needs promoting, so 1000s of people won't come over night, the owner will get lazy and close it, and it'll keep going like that.

Because there is no many, I wont be joining any more promotion forums because ive joined a few forums and they forums have died. Plus its the same services every where with same forum.

Because when you join a NEW promotion forum, you're not gonna get any members taking interests when reading your ad. Cause all members there are there only for the same exact reason you are.

Untrue.. I read other people's ads and join a forum if I like it.. Other people do it too. We are all on promotion forums to promote our own sites but we also have time to stop into other forums as well. 😛

True talk, Its been done since 06'.

It all started back in the days of advertisement centre in early 07.

I came out with my first ad board in early 07 as well, and now its rediculous.

Honestly, why can't we all grow up? On both ends.

One, stop complaining. You can't stop anyone by posting topics on an internet forum saying "you suck" and all of that stuff. Really, a forum is a forum, quit complaining. Don't like it? DON'T JOIN. There is a reason why registration is optional.

On the other hand, people should at least get a little spark of creativity. Copying FP is not the best thing to do, but it is a promotion forum base really, just like Facebook and Myspace are generally both communities with the same basic features. However they both do things very differently, and that is how people making promotion forums should go along their business.

Oh, the classic "I'm just stating my opinion" shield. There's a difference between stating your opinion in a civil manner and making asinine threads/statements. If this thread were titled "New Promotion Forums" and asked what people thought about them, then it would be fine. However, this topic was clearly created just to rip into the people who are starting the forums.

More like riping into the amateur forum creators who put little to no thought into their forum and give up on it when its not an overnight success.
