Seriously, why not? 😛 It's awesome, consider it my Christmas gift to you. 🙂 When you first start using it, you think it looks weird and you don't notice much of a difference, but after a night of using your computer you can definitely tell the difference.

Any other f.lux users here?

I have it on my desktop but not my laptop yet.

I found out about it not too long ago and it's truly awesome!

I will test it out tonight. Looks interestingly simple.

I use this on my MacPro, I love it! You can really tell once you start using it. If you do use it though, just don't use Photoshop at the same time. Colors are off.

this software is pretty amazing indeed. it's perfect for someone who sits in front of computer full day!

May install it soon. I'm gonna boot into Linux in a bit so I'm glad it has Linux compatibility.

Sounds interesting, but this program sounds like it may make gaming, video watching, and viewing photos less enjoyable because it dims the screen during the evening.

I've been using f.lux for a couple of years it's great for late night forum browsing.

That's why it has a feature to "disable for one hour" if your using programs like photoshop.

It indeed does make gaming harder to do if you play a lot. It through me off the timed I used it and didn't go back to it.

Yeah, it only takes one click to disable it, so that's not too much of a problem. You can also adjust how dark or how light it is at a certain time of day, which helps! 🙂

Would using the built-in automatic brightness control on some monitors do the same thing as fl.ux?

The automatic brightness controls on monitors dims the light when there is less light, and increases the brightness when the room is brighter to reduce glare, and reflection on a screen.

Thanks for posting this, it has helped a lot! Never knew about it before.

I've had it on my phone for ages, I wasnt aware it was available on dekstop. Thanks.

I absolutely love using flux! I use a mobile look-alike, called EasyEyes or something like that for Android. It really helps my eyes out a lot. I've really noticed a difference.

I just installed it. Didn't even know that it existed. My job is a work at home job from my PC. So my eyes would probably love this considering I work graveyard shift.

-- 09 Jan 2014, 16:19 --

after 24 hours. I still have this. This thing is amazing.
