This question is mostly intended for new users but old users can also reply. Why did you join FP? Has your purpose been fulfilled?
I will be the first one to answer the question.
I own multiple websites and I use FP to promote my websites. I am also a freelancer and FP has helped me to get writing/posting contracts.
I joined June 10, 2020. I searched for "where to advertise forum" for my less than 2 months old new forum, HOST. A search result came up for Xenforo which I went to & linked to this site. I had done exchanges with other Proboard forum owners but wanted to be able to promote my forum more.
I'd say it's been fulfilled. While I was intimidated for nearly a year here with the Services, joining the Package Team opened up even more possibilities of being fulfilled. 🙂
Christianity Haven needed some life put into it, new blood and different types of conversations. The members knew how each other would respond and it was getting boring for them. So I googled Forum Promotion and this place came up. The owner balked and said I shouldn't try it because our members would know right away if I used the site's packages. I was actually up front with our senior members (not old, just long time) to let them know about it so they wouldn't feel deceived.
It did help, and still does from time to time. Forum Promotion helped to bring some energy back into a forum that needed a boost so it met my expectations.
For me it’s helping others. Helping others learn about websites can also be a fulfilling and rewarding experience as you see others benefit from your guidance and expertise.
To simply promote my forum and make use of the posting packages when needed. Not just when I came around recently after a long time, but also when I was originally with this very community way back in 2008.
Join like anyone else to get away to help to get sites off the floor, started a project and needed content, needed members and also needed help and ideas and more, then since join I end up sticking around lol
