Why did you start you forum?

I started my site because I simply felt like having a general chat board that allowed the use of swear words. Hence the name soapymouths! But this will also be for my clothing range (novilty shirts, jumpers, hats etc... not advertising, there are none yet and wont be for a while lol, just stating why the forum is there!!!!!!)..

So I just started the forum really for the sake of just having a forum. 😀

I know a lot of people who swear naturally or just wish to go nuts every once in a while. Unfortunatly you get ***** everywhere. lol. So I decided to open...

OGC was started because there are so many Gaming clans and most cater for the younger gamer, require members to make contributions and are limited to one game. OGC is a free gaming community for over 18's we run several very popular gaming servers, free TeamSpeak and we never ask our members for cash EVER. So I started OGC to give the friends I had made online a place to chat, game and make new friends. OGC was Born and continues to grow. 😀

Why did I start my forum ... well you may ask ...

I am member and staff on many computer and security sites - and are well known on the big ones. I have a passion for helping people with their computer problems.

I then found my self spending countless hours on computer forums site - which led me to make my own computer forums site. I am dedicated in making my site very successful and I'm prepared to put in the effort and my own money... Just to help others!

then we found the phpbb software
started a forum, it did well
so we moved it to Vbulletin been happy with it

To be honest I was looking for an online place to hang, I'm on a few underground music forums but the people on there can get really cliquey and pretentious so I started looking for a cool forum to join and post (mind you i didnt know about forum promotion forums then -razz- )

So I thought bugger it, I'll just make my own ~biggrin~ and ya

I starting posting on a forum 1 year ago. This particular host had thousands of forums on politics, religion, and "fluff" A friend started a "fluff" forum. It was general chat and it grew into a partnership of 3 friends. Due to troll attacks and server issues, we left that forum and came to free forums. My two friends have since dropped out and wanted to disband the forum--which we did. Some of the "hardcore" members asked me to start again--which I did. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, but we are having lots of fun.
