Easy question... Why do you like promotion forums? I know of a couple of members on my forum that don't have forums/websites but use it for the community part. 😛

Well, the members are nice, and it is active 😀 I have also had an increase of 10 percent of page views being on here.

I love my one as it got so active within a month. I mean, 150 or so members and 5000 posts?

Well, if I loved ponys then I'd love a pony forum.
In this case I love forums, so I love forumpromotion.

I personally don't have any particular affection toward any kind of forums based on their niche. I just become a active part of a community when it is friendly 🙂

A forum is a forum to me. You do the same thing on every forum. Post stuff here and there.

I feel like when I am chatting with people in off topic areas of those types of forums, a lot of people are just being fake and not really wanting to have a legitimate conversation. They are simply trying to boost their post count up so they can either get more people looking at their signature (aka sig-ver-tising) or get more posts so they can request services on the forum.

The new ones that pop up all the time are quite comical. They are usually opened by people with failed forums who are desperate to have a forum with a large member base to be in control of. When they finally see that success it doesn't happen overnight, even with an advertising forum, they close it.

Its just a endless cycle.

I'm not really a fan of them either. I agree with the above poster, but also I tend to find that most forum promotion sites and the people on them think that members and posts are the only thing that is important when it comes to a forum. I think high importance on a lot of posts only shows that you allow spam. I will join forums I see on them that I think are interesting however, and that offer me something I can't find elsewhere.

Very true.

Almost exactly my reasoning. Also on a ton of these promotion forums, there's a ton of one word spamming like "lol  " "me 2" or other crap. If you can't contribute something useful or funny, don't do it at all.

The only place I find interesting here is Admin Discussions. I've found that FP has done nothing for my forum traffic wise (except a few posting packages). Frankly, I've found advertising elsewhere to be much more helpful.

Admin discussion is good though because it's good to talk to other experienced admins. I've learned quite a bit from here actually.

I have better things to do than make the numbers on my account bigger. Like, I don't know, have a fun conversation. I come on here because it's friendly and I've learnt a few things. Also I can offer what advice I have to others--I have several years' experience on forums so like to share what i know.

There are good promotion forums and bad ones, I consider this a great one.

Webverts has had a few closed forums. There is... 8 topics in the trashed threads. I hate the forums that open and then close pretty much straight away.

Actually, this is how I feel as well. I don't feel like I've benefited from post exchanges or even bumping my topic. This is why I like promoting elsewhere too, which tends to fill that gap it seems like. I also feel like I've benefited from Admin Discussions, because you never know when you'll find out something you never knew about owning a forum before.

Mainly because of the members and the discussions. It also helps promote your forums and bring in lots of activity. 🙂

Well most promotion sites are nice and such. Plus I like reviewing sites 😀.
