Why is Depascito on the main stream?

This one of the overrated music of all time for me, and i just don't get why it has so much hype that it even pushed "See you Again" from the most viewed music video on you tube. damn how? am not saying the song is total crap, maybe it's not all that crappy but why the hype?, mind i understand Spanish, but i don't think the song is worth the hype, not at all.

Perhaps the hype on Depascito is connected to the ban it received from the Malaysian government. For reasons that the song contains obscene words, the ban raised the curiosity of the public in the song. I haven't heard the song yet but I had the urge when I read about the ban (although I had no time to listen though). In other words, the negativity of the ban resulted in a positive effect to Depascito.
