"time: Sleep(1 * time.Nanosecond) pauses at least 1.9ms on Windows 10 or Windows 7"

What is it with Windows that always leads to ridiculous things like this happening?
I don't think any language can really cope with it well, other than C#.

Blame Microsoft, I think they want use to obey what they want you to do on window system. Haven't had an bad problem since running with windows 10 but updated are an pain as it messes up my sounds.

I am hesitant to upgrade my OS from Windows 7 to Windows 10 because I'm afraid that there will be a lot of issues like old programs may not be running properly. It is part of the business aspect to make the old OS obsolete so that users will shift to the newer version and pay for the license. I cannot blame Microsoft for that. To be honest, I learned to use the small computers when there was no Windows yet. It is like a miracle to shift from the old MSDOS that is diskette-based to Windows so I am thankful for that until now.

It is actually good. I've been using Windows 10 since the software went live globally. The issues are very small, minimal, and I see a lot of quality in the updates. This is coming from a guy who's been around since the Windows 95 days. I saw Windows XP glitches, quirks, hacks - yes, hacks. Viruses, Trojan Horses, you name it. I saw everything. Vista was the worst software I've ever seen. It had too many holes in it. Both on a personal computer, and on a student station... Horrible. Windows 7 was a little better, but my only issues was the changes. Windows 10 though? You'll be surprised by how good everything is.

Vista and 7 are essentially the same thing, it was just rebranded and had a new theme slapped on it. It's very interesting how many people see it as something completely different.

It's just that the pieces of software which ran on 7 actually supported it, as did the hardware, unlike Vista which came in after a very long period of nothing but XP.
Microsoft's biggest mistake there was the length of time they spent developing Vista.

Windows 10 on the other-hand had the whole upgrade nonsense which screwed up just about every machine which opted into it in some way. They're probably trying to force people to buy a new machine and fresh copy of 10.

7 was basically Vista with a new theme and some bug patches lol. Didn't really enjoy 8 or 8.1 because of the whole metro vibe, but 10 has been decent so far. Only issue with 10 for me is with the upgrades like you mentioned. Anytime a new build is released, it can cause issues.

Windows 10 is god awful. Updates, blatant spying, an escalating movement to remove all control you have over your computer, etc. all pushed me to Linux.

The more important question is "Why does Microsoft keep screwing everything up?" lol

Yeah, I agree. 7 and 8 were okay, but I like the new 8.1 update that returns the style to desktop style. Anyhow, it seems like Microsoft got better and better as time goes on, and it shows through the 7/8 updates. 10 is a lot better in my opinion.

However, Vista was horrible. It drained the computer(s) enough to like - cause a bomb going off (I'm spitballing here, but you get the idea). I didn't bother upgrading to Vista. I saw a few exploits that hurt laptops, and I feel like my aunt/uncle blamed me, but later they understand because Vista was just riddled with exploits, bugs, glitches, and whatnot. I was thinking, how does a company screw up after 10, 20 years in the Operating System business...?

Same, only for the same reasons @Princess MeowsePad mentioned. Even if Microsoft are actually making 10 better even with tidying up with the Start Menu, some of us are still hesitant. Also, there's a thing called the LTSB edition that doesn't have all the cruft that the retail versions do.

I am not going into the main points, however I simply need to rant regarding however crappy Windows is as a product. I even have been operating for two days making an attempt to troubleshoot my laptop since the newest update. it's unbelievable what quantity work and energy is needed to form a windows product operate properly. I even have none of those issues with my mack, that i exploit primarily.

I solely use the windows laptop for media functions on my tv, therefore I even have not lost any vital knowledge, however it's unfathomable that it's this tough to use Windows ten. each drawback that I even have had since the update square measure clearly a standard ones, as I will realize them denote everywhere the net.

In short, WINDOWS SUCKS.

I have had a laptop since around 2016 - 2017 and it runs Windows 10. Haven't had any problems other than a couple crashes.

But it was only a few months ago that I jumped onto the 'Windows 10 is Spyware train'. To be honest, people out there are creeps but the biggest creeps of all are Greedy Tech Corporations and The Government.

To be honest, I love Windows. I am interested in picking up Linux seeing as I'm a programmer but most of my favourite games don't support Linux and God that would be a nightmare to set up with Wine. From my perspective, a lot of people don't like the Metro design. I have used both only 7 and 10(7 at my school and 10 for my PC) and to be honest, I don't see a problem. I like both Aero Glass and Metro. I would've liked Microsoft to at least add the old themes panel back to Windows so we can switch from Metro to Classic Windows or Aero.

But the updates, I only experience after Shutting down or restarting. I have never had any trouble with updates other than the annoying notifications. I am personally excited for the Light Theme coming in 1903.

But overall, I'd probably give Windows(In it's current state) between 6.3 - 7.8.
