If Fauci didn't commit any offense against the USA, why did Biden pardon him?

To keep the MAGA faithful from playing games like they did with 2 years of impeachment investigations that went nowhere fast?
I mean, surely... you have heard all the threats being made by the Trump faithful of recriminations. I think all of us have.

Those people have to hire their own attorneys usually when the game playing starts. That's why some ex-Trump staffers are telling current ones to get legal insurance to cover their upcoming fees.

Article II, Section 2, Clause 1:

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

From the US Constitution citation above...
he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States

Biden's pardon shows that Fauci committed offenses against the US then?

That's why they are referred to as a pre-emptive pardon.
They go back to the era of Abraham Lincoln in use, and the courts have accepted them as valid.
So it's not like something that BIden suddenly decided he would use and it had no precedent.
In fact, I am pretty sure Trump gave one to Bannon, who was facing charges but had not been convicted.

What Biden did was the ultimate show of no confidence in the Trump administration being one based upon the rule of law, instead being one based upon the rule of revenge.

What Biden did was give us a list of all those guilty parties to investigate 😉

Accepting a pardon is admission of guilt. So... Biden has pardoned his crime family. Am I right?

Biden tried to make a statement saying that the pardon wasn't an admission of guilt, but the guy isn't right in the head anyway, so he can't change the constitution and what it says.

As I said, pre-emptive pardons go back to the era of Abraham Lincoln. No charges have to be filed.
A decent legal write-up on it can be found below.

Ironically, 3 of the 4 examples used in that article (this was written before Biden's actions) were Republican office holders.
Do I agree with it? Not really. But when you have idiots coming into power like they are (and making the threats they have) and after watching two years of MAGA playing theatre in Congress with an impeachment that they never could get evidence of violation already showed what their game plan was. It was never about impeachment. It was all about theatre and being in the news. And now it would have been the same crap repeated.

What Biden basically did was extend the middle fingers of both hands to MAGA and waved them back and forth as he was waving good-bye.
