Yes this is true, America's time has come to an end, This is just the beginning.Sadly the elected have not done a good job looking out for the rights of the people, but they sure got rich off being in office.

Seriously? America's time has come to an end just because someone threatens to leak information? You really don't know much about the world.

I read about that. I like Obama and that site is pretty good so I don't know who to support.

Freedom of the press is constitutionally protected. There you go.

America hasn't been #1 for a long time.

I fully support and endorse WikiLeaks. Our general news on TV, radio, and even online seems censored or "fluffed".

I think I often would get better & honest news reports on Comedy Central then I would on FOX, NBC, ect....

WikiLeaks holds more creditability to me, then what I believe the general public has settled for as news.

If it puts national security at risk, then I see no problem in censoring it. Why? Because, as much as freedom of speech is vital, protecting the country is more important. The security of the country must come first, else freedom of speech means nothing.

It's the Federal government. I understand the freedom of press, but why in the world would they release documents that put peoples' lives in danger?

I agree. Freedom of press is great, so long as it is responsible.

The funny thing is, this released information is just stuff most countries all ready know.

Since wikileaks isn't located in the United States, whatever they post, they aren't held responsible under our laws.. that said, whoever gave them this information would be. Freedom of Press, and the release of secret and confidential files is different. Files marked secret and confidential are that way for a reason. I'm sure we've all seen the movies with the 'top secret' government files. These aren't any top US secrets at that level. The highest the files that are being released is at the 'secret' level. Regardless of whether this is very serious information being released, or not very important information being released, it's still illegal, and whoever gave Wikileaks access to the information should take the fall for this, because the law was broken here. It's illegal for whoever gave it to them, to well, give it to them, because this person who gave it out must have had at least secret level clearance.

It's not Obama's fault.

From what I've heard, it was US soldier Bradley Manning.

If the leak was as serious as Obama makes it out to be, the government would have done something more than say "omg don't do this!"

Smells pretty fascist in here...
Agreed. You can't continually compromise freedom of speech and freedom of press for "national security." That's called taking the fast path to Fascism City.

kill all involved like our soviet russian friends xD

It seems like any time and every time, someone says or does something The Government finds distasteful, disagreeable, or just inconvenient ... We hear that 1 line quote "This puts American lives in danger and harms way"

Funny... they say the same thing about them fighting copyrights. Now I do not support piracy, but I'm very sure that its not going to get anyone killed.
