Facebook is the most popular social network and the other hand YouTube is the most popular video sharing platform.
For YouTube we can share videos and also can earn money with them. Beside Facebook also allow video sharing and I am not sure if we can earn money with Facebook video ! However, nowadays most of the people are enjoying LIVE feature of the Facebook. We can also share live events with YouTube. However, from my opinion YouTube is still the best platform for video sharing and I believe that Facebook video can't beat YouTube now. What do you think ? Will Facebook video beat YouTube in future ??

Only if they partition off a part of facebook for videos only like youtube does.

If Facebook will have a monetization feature for the videos, I guess that will be the nemesis of YouTube. To be honest, I am slighted by the latest policy of YouTube in disqualifying small video creators from participating in the revenue sharing program. So if Facebook will put up an alternative now, I'm sure all those misplaced video creators will migrate to Facebook. But without the monetization, Youtube will remain king of the video industry.

There could be a chance there, considering the following. However, though, I think Twitter and other platforms are have risen and are maybe equal/surpassing Facebook.

Facebook is big, but I don't think it will

YouTube is dedicated to video sharing as is the biggest platform. I think it will remain the same for several years. Better for them to rethink their new rules if they want to stay longer on the top.

If they can monetize Facebook videos to make money then they would definitely beat out YouTube. There's a lot of big YouTubers I've been following for years that YouTube is demonetizing right now and it sucks because this is peoples' livelihood.

If Facebook found a way to allow people to make money making videos they could definitely out beat them unless they too had a shit algorithm that messed with ad money.

Yet amazon is doing there own also

I don't think so. I'd rather watch videos and streaming content on Youtube than Facebook.

Honestly at this point I don't particularly seeing it happen. Maybe if a new video sharing platform became popular maybe, but I highly doubt Facebook will ever beat Youtube as some people don't want to touch facebook with a nine foot poll like me.

This is interesting. I actually prefer watching videos on Youtube, but I'm on Facebook more often so I end up watching videos on Facebook almost 100% of the time. It could happen...

With Article 13 creeping up closer, Youtube will begin to crumble if it is accepted. Facebook might apply as well but Youtube has more copyrighted content than Facebook. So Facebook could replace Youtube if they ever add monetisation, sponsors and moderate it properly to avoid disgusting content and copyrighted content.

Nope. That ain't happening. YouTube was already big since its founding.
Well, Twitch has been gaining ground on gaming videos so they're somewhat of a competitor against YT, but only on gaming content. If FB can target a specific audience of YT and then slowly build on that, they can overtake YT.

Perhaps. I used to be an avid Youtube user but I mostly watch videos only on Facebook now.

But what if the users don't like FB or aren't going to going to move? The I say YT will still going to be big for some time. Anyway if FB going to do there own content for there users then it will take time to grow, if not an good year to see any results

Considering the way a lot of people look at Facebook, Youtube will still remain #1 until they mess up or as I said, Article 13 gets accepted.
