Curious to whether FP$ will ever start going down in its worth here on the forums. For example, in a year will we see the average price for posts be around 40FP$ as opposed to 10-20?
When I left a while ago the average was around 10FP and 20FP made people's jaws drop. Now it seems 20 is average.

So I guess the first question is, will it happen (because it definitely could)? I personally think it just depends on how new FP is brought into the community. FP$ worth could even spike up if no FP is given out and the same amount of FP is just circulated through the community, but with more members. I wonder though (because I am not really sure) how much FP users earn by posting on the actual ForumPromotion forums and/or how much FP is added into the community by staff. For example, when Package and Review Team members earn their money for the month or whatever time period.

Anyways just some food for thought. This can also be a small example of an economy that we can study over time.

Well it is definitely something to think about. Sure, it is just forum points essentially though the website is based around it. Preserving the worth of FP$ is just as important as it is in any economy (just on a smaller scale of course, and no poverty ridden neighborhoods due to the failing of it). You get my point though.

Another thing to ponder is how easily new currencies (currently online currencies like FP$, bitcoins etc) can be abused by the creators and managers of it. I'm going to go make a thread about that.lol

I'm going by the idea that $5 is worth 1000 FP$ cause I saw an ad trading it for that amount.

Its a very good question actually. However, as long as ForumPromotion is a forum that runs on virtual currency, the implications of inflation is very minimal I guess.

If a 300-word article worth 3 USD is worth 100 FP$, but someone in another thread is selling FP$ at 3 USD per 1000 FP$ then that's just someone trying to get quick cash getting rid of FP$.

Value is depended on each individual. Personally in my opinion FP$ has no value that compares to real currency. I wouldn't buy FP$ and there are no services with enough quality to be offered equal value to real money.

If FP$ is being earned with any post, regardless of length, then we cannot expect posts to equal a lot of FP$. For instance, a lot of small length posts would earn as much as ones with a lot of writing.
