Will we be penalised by Google for ...

Currently there is a domain hosting site whose URL is redirecting to us at The Product Forum.

I only know this because I chose to check the site out as we had a prior deal with a member on here who agreed to take a donation from us to keep the site running and put our link up on the hosting site (which clearly is not happening) I don't want to get into crticising the deal or member of FP on this thread, so the only feedback I am looking for is the following.

-Will we be penalised by Google or other search engines for having a URL redirect to us as the user had not intended to visit us and did so only because they were 'forced' to visit?

Simple answer, no. As long as it is redirecting there should be no issue.

When you say other than redirecting, I'm not sure (based on OP) what else could be happening. Sorry to sound slightly simple, but not sure what you mean.

No you won't be penalized, if you were that would be stupid because even Google owns more than 1 domain that redirects to Google.

Example:

googlee.com

Google wont penalize you for that. Redirects are okay, dont worry about it.
