Yes. I have played with someone running Vista via LAN before, so playing with someone running 7 shouldn't be any different. I don't think the OS should make any difference anyway.
EDIT: On second thought, it might take some work before you can do it. You may need to run AoE in XP compatibility mode on the Windows 7 machine. Make sure the firewall settings are configured properly for the host machine, too. http://forums.techarena.in/windows-vist ... 038849.htm
my xp pc has aoc 1.0c and our win7 pc has the age of empires limited edition, the one with the four original age of empires, so does this limited edition have 1.0c also?
and if so,
Can the 1.0c game and 1.0b(if its this version) play together?
I may have to update the 1.0b game, if that is the version the game has installed already.
It's funny that you made this topic since I've been playing this game lately for the first time in a while. I loved playing this game so much when I was younger.
I love their faster villager build times, and their +30% tradecart gold bonus.
Plus two unique units, the conquistador and the missionary.
The maya also have two units, the eagle warriors and the plummed archers, plus their resources last 20% longer which is a help.
I'm probably gonna go heavy navy, and do transfer drops of conqistadors/spearman/villagers while my dad with the maya will forward build and bum rush the enemies.
