I have recently acquired external hard drive. I am using it to make backups. However, they take a lot of space, around 1 TB each. Is there any software you know that can make it in a more efficient way? I need it to take less space but be able to fully recover all data if needed.
I don't understand your statement about 1 tb each. Is that a database or a hard drive? In the olden days, the zip was very popular because it can compress files to a minimum. However, the retrieval is quite tedious because you have to unzip. When storage grew bigger in tb sizes, the zip seemed to have lost its popularity.
I don't know but I TB of space needed to backup a copy of your windows installation seems like an extremely high amount. Might just be a digital hoarder though. I used to be one way back in the day. I never deleted stuff I wasn't using or was done with. Just kind of kept it lying around on my desktop or in multiple folders.
