Windows 10

I'm pretty excited. I've been meaning to the developer preview.

The one I tried was rather clunky. I'll be sticking with 8.1 for now in production, I think

What happened to Windows 9? Was 8 so damn bad they decided to just skip 9 to make sure the slate was clean? I couldn't stand Windows 8 and I hope the next OS is actually worth upgrading to. I'm still running Windows 7.

Thank you for sharing this video. I am too excited to check this new Windows 10. Hope we get a free upgrade soon as I am still using Windows 7.

i think it'll be nice, but i just now got used to windows 8.1 from windows 7... and i still don't see why they skipped 9, like they don't know how to count?

I tried out Windows 10 (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-iso)

Even though it's a early build it was fun trying out some features. I like it and looking forward to the release of Windows 10.

Ah! Cool! How stable has it been?

It seems pretty stable so far. Everything loads up a bit faster than Windows 7. It reminds me a lot of Windows 7 in some ways and has a similar setup. Also has some similar features to Windows 8.1.

You can also rename Cortana on Windows 10 to whatever you want so it can have it's own name. I never got to try the Tablet Mode much on it. I noticed a tablet mode setting while looking around on Windows 10 I would assume that will be used a lot by thoses who access their computer from their tablets.

I am looking forward to the release of windows 10. I can get a free upgrade and everything! 🙂

I installed the beta today. So far it looks pretty cool. I like it. I have found some bugs and features which I do not like but I'm still exploring much of it.

It took too long to find the uninstall program manager because they emphasize so much on apps that the program manager is buried in the Control Panel (now simply named settings).

Flash player does not seem to be working yet. Trying to figure that one out.

What would be he advantages of upgrading to windows 10? 🙂

At least they have time to figure out what they need to do before an official release. Gotta love when they "simplify" stuff, which in turn just makes it hard to find... I hope they get all those bugs worked out before the official release. Looking forward to using Cortona and not having to complain about Internet Explorer (which I and several other at work complain about A LOT).

What I have heard, is that Microsoft chose to skip to 10, because of the "Compatible With" icons. The rumor I read somewhere is that the 9 would look too much like an 8, so they skipped to 10. Still not sure if this is true or not, but I'm kind of interested myself why they skipped a number. 😱

I am glad the new start bar will be back any ideal when the free version is released for windows 10 ?

When Windows 10 is released, it'll be a free upgrade if you're on Windows 7, 8 or 8.1. Windows 7 users can upgrade within the first 365 days after Windows 10 is fully released.

So if Windows 10 is released on November 4th, 2015, you'll have til November 4th, 2016 to upgrade to windows 10 for free.

Note: That was NOT an official release date, just an example of how upgrading for free works.

I have just found out that the BETA Has been released. Though the full version is described by Microsoft "Will be released in late 2015". 🙂

The dev test was awesome. This is gonna be the next big OS. Its basicaly what you thought windows 8 was gonna be, 7 + cool new design/features.
